Day 1 Arrive Fajardo airport where we'll pick you up and deliver you to Ragazza at Puerto Del Rey. Leave port for Green Beach on the west end of Vieques for lunch and a stroll on the long beach. Pick up mid afternoon to overnight in the phosphorescent bay of Puerto Ferro. Experience a light show only a jet boat can create moving a million gallons of water through her jets and setting the phosphorescent in the water ablaze.
Day 2 Depending on prevailing winds we'll choose either Bahia Icacos or Salinas to spend the day. Both beautiful unspoiled anchorages are within the US Navy Weapons Range. This has secluded these anchorages for the last 50 years from tourists. The beaches are unspoiled and snorkeling excellent.
Day 3 Run across Vieques Sound to the island of Culebra. Spend the night in Bahia Almodovar. We can watch the light of St. Thomas come up as the sun goes down behind Culebra. Beaches and reefs are the main attractions.
Day 4 Weather permitting we'll venture to the small island of Culebrita to have lunch and enjoy the awesome beach. If not, we can lunch in Dakity Harbor and beach at beautiful Malena Beach. After lunch we'll head back to Ensanada Honda on Culebra and anchor near the town of Dewey. Dewey has a menagerie of restaurants, bars, and boutiques to explore.
Day 5 Leave Ensanada Honda for a day trip to Flamenco Beach on the NW corner of Culebra. This is reputed to be the most beautiful beach in the Virgins. If weather doesn't permit, I still recommend a short jaunt by taxi from Dewey to have a picnic lunch on this incredible beach. We'll anchor off Cayo Luis Pena, an uninhabited wildlife refuge.
Day 6 Spend most of the day exploring the trails on Cayo Pena. After lunch, leave for Isla Palominos. Anchor here along a beach and watch an incredible sunset over El Yunque Mountain in Puerto Rico's rainforest. Click the image of the mountains on the right to go to the Downloads Page for a QuickTime movie Exploring the Rainforest of El Yunque Mountain.
Day 7 Arrive Fajardo/Puerto Del Rey. Depending on time and schedules, we could hike the rainforest or experience the casino at the famous Conquistador Hotel in Fajardo.
